Traditional Teddy bears by Barbara Ann Bears

These are our old time teds, proper old fashioned teddy bears like the ones we made back in the early 1990's when we started making bears, we hope you like them. Some of the bears are made from genuine vintage mohair that will be between 70 and 150 years old and others are made from old style German and British mohair. Please note that our bears are unsuitable for children under 14. We hope you like them and if you'd like to have one of them in your own home please call or email us, we can accept payment by major debit and credit cards over the phone as well as by PayPal for overseas customers, all prices are displayed in British Pounds if you would like to find out the approximate equivalent price in your own currency please use the link on the left.

Prices don't include shipping, which will be added at cost.

All the bears we sell from the website come with a greetings card of the bear, we can also enclose a Birthday card, Christmas card or a Valentines day card, just let us know when you are ordering.

Grimble is a soulful, one of a kind, teddy bear, he's made from a piece of pale tan-coloured, vintage, German mohair.

Grimble is a soulful, one of a kind, teddy bear, he's made from a piece of pale tan-coloured, vintage, German mohair.

Grimble sits quietly and resolutely to share in your joys and woes, he's a dependable and trustworthy sort of chap, a bit grubby and tatty around the edges but still with a hint of the debonair about him. He's a bear that seems to have enjoyed the good things in life and now just wants to settle down and cuddle.
Grimble comes with a hand knitted scarf knitted by Andy's mother, he has odd eyes, one old coat button and one fancier, black, multi-faceted button. He has a sparsely sewn, charcoal, wool nose and beige wool felt pads. Grimble wears a large heart shaped patch on his chest made from cotton material with a small, brown floral pattern, he also has patches on his left arm and left ankle made from blue, check winceyette.
Grimble has plastic pellets in his tummy, arms and feet which makes him more pose-able and flexible, allowing him to sit comfortably and not like a stuffed shirt. He's no stuffed shirt.
Grimble stands about 18 inches (46cm) tall, 12.1/2 inches (32cm) sitting down. Anything else? Please ask, we're happy to help. As with all our bears we''ll pop in a photo greetings card with him, if you'd like a special card, for a birthday or valentines day just ask us.
