Yaketty Yak is mostly made from slightly distressed, wavy German mohair that Barbara has hand dyed in shades of soft, minty green with flecks of brown, his tummy and ear backs are made from very long, luxurious off white mohair. He has matching pads and beautiful hand painted eyes from Rita of Woodland Teddies. He has a coordinating, embroidered nose and an engaging smile.
Yaketty Yak's a gentle soul he likes nothing better than sitting quietly at home reading a book with a mug of Ovaltine, which must account for the flecks of brown in his mohair. However, should you give him any sort of drink with caffeine in it, he changes completely, you just can't shut him up, he rabbits on and on and on, ' Did you see that film, did you see that terrible dress that so-and-so was wearing on TV, did you see that strange man that your neighbour brought home at 2.30 in the morning, you should have seen what they were up to...?' So if you want a quiet life keep him well away from the coffee, but if you want to know all the gossip it's a triple espresso washed down with a couple of glasses of coke.
